A stay
at Jack’s Camp focuses on desert-adapted wildlife as well
as the geology, archaeology and anthropology of the Kalahari Desert
and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans.
The
camp itself is furnished in a traditional East African 1940s safari
style – reminiscent of the safaris of a bygone era - creating
an oasis of civilisation in a harsh environment.
Summary:
10 spacious, classically styled tents built on decks and set in
a palm grove with endless vistas of rolling grasslands, desert palms
upon the horizon and the huge salt pans of the Makgadikgadi. The
ensuite bathrooms have both indoor and outdoor showers, flush toilets
and hot and cold running water.
