for Richard Bonham at his Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge. Richard started the
riding safaris from Ol Donyo in 2003 and he is currently expanding
the operation with new stables going up as we speak. The idea eventually
is to operate riding safaris into Amboseli, but for the moment the
6 and 9 day riding safaris fly camping in the incredible wilderness
of the Chyulus are proving very successful and popular.
Summary:
5 or 8 night riding safaris led by Monica
Campori, with a night at the lodge before and after the ride, and
out fly camping in the Chyulus inbetween – camping in a different
location each night. The tents have beds, tables & each tent
has its own bathroom. There is a separate dining tent. The camp
crew of 3 consisits of groom, cook and waiter.
Activities:

rides range from 4 to 6 hours in the saddle per day
- but
generally the pace is set according to guest’s wishes and
ability
- gamedrives
and walks are also an option

Mid December to end of March & June to October.
