Pafuri camp, Northern Kruger National Park, South Africa
Pafuri
Camp is located in certainly the wildest and most remote area of
the famous Kruger National Park, far in the north, situated between
the Limpopo & Luvurhu Rivers in a 24,000 hectare area called
the Pafuri or the Makuleke.
The
region is the ancestral home of the Makuleke people and is one of
the most diverse and scenically attractive areas in the Kruger National
Park, offering varied vegetation, great game viewing, the best birding
in all of the Kruger and is filled with folklore of the early explorers
and ancient civilisations.
Summary:
20 tented rooms with ensuite bathrooms, looking out over the river
– you can sit on your deck and watch elephant, nyala, waterbuck
or bushbuck coming down to drink.
Activities:
- Day and night game drives
- Gameviewing hides (including some that will cater for sleep-outs)
- Rock paintings & palaeo-anthropological history
