Pafuri Camp

Pafuri camp, Northern Kruger National Park, South Africa

Pafuri Camp is located in certainly the wildest and most remote area of the famous Kruger National Park, far in the north, situated between the Limpopo & Luvurhu Rivers in a 24,000 hectare area called the Pafuri or the Makuleke.

The region is the ancestral home of the Makuleke people and is one of the most diverse and scenically attractive areas in the Kruger National Park, offering varied vegetation, great game viewing, the best birding in all of the Kruger and is filled with folklore of the early explorers and ancient civilisations.

Summary: 20 tented rooms with ensuite bathrooms, looking out over the river – you can sit on your deck and watch elephant, nyala, waterbuck or bushbuck coming down to drink.

Activities:

  • Day and night game drives
  • Gameviewing hides (including some that will cater for sleep-outs)
  • Rock paintings & palaeo-anthropological history
Rates (South African Rand): R2500 per person per night with a single supplement of R1230.
