Kuyenda Camp, South Luangwa National Park
This small traditional style bush-camp, set inside the South Luangwa National Park, is predominantly a camp for walking safaris although drives are also offered. Whilst the walking areas close to this camp are excellent, it is your host that really makes the experience at Kuyenda stand out. Phil Berry and his partner Babette Alfieri have been running this camp since they left Chinzombo in the mid 90’s. Phil is simply a mine of information, whilst he no longer conducts all the walks from camp himself, he is far and away Luangwa’s most experienced guide. Much of his 40 plus years in the Luangwa has been spent studying the wildlife and its habits.
