How time flies…it was June 1989 that Soren first led a safari for our clients in Botswana and so the wonderful partnership between Soren & Bushbuck began.
Botswana & Northern Tanzania remain the old favourites for safaris with Soren – here as well as small luxury lodges, Soren uses his private tented mobile camp with the full compliment of camp staff – the camp is exclusive to yourselves. In Tanzania, the camp shadows the wildebeest migration on the vast open plains of the Serengeti. In Botswana, the mobile camp allows the safari to penetrate into the further reaches of the Okavango Delta & Kalahari Desert.
Soren is fanatical about Zambia where he has led many safaris over the past few years. The country has so much to offer, both in Southern Zambia and in the North, and many incredible wild game areas that are little visited – Bangweulu for instance, the only place you can see Black Lechwe who graze on the plains in their thousands, and in the same area – the rare and unique Shoebill Stork or Kasanka Park, famous for its Sitatunga sightings, and then there is the incredible quantity of game of Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks. A visit to the elegant Africa House at Shiwa Ngandu is a must and for the keen fishermen, a visit to the southern end of Lake Tanganyika for Nile Perch. The itinerary options are many.
Namibia continues to be one of Soren’s favourite destinations. From the largest and most colourful sand dunes to be found anywhere to the Atlantic coast and inshore lagoons covered with pink flamingo and richest waters for wading birds in the world. Not to mention the rocky shoreline home to huge colonies of seals, ancient rock art and the famous Etosha National Park – one of the most game rich parks in Africa with a huge variety of game, including black rhino.
