Horse riding safaris in Kenya are a once in a lifetime experience, the sights sounds and smells all seem different compared to when you are driving in a jeep.
We offer two lengths of stays, either five or eight nights for the horse riding safaris, they are all led by a very competent horse woman, Monica Campori, most of the time you will be camping outside in the wonderful countryside, but for the first night there is an orientation meeting getting to know your horse and your guide at the lodge.
We will spend most of our time in Kenya on the fly camping in a different location every night and then rding your horses during the day, letting them rest as soon as the sun sets so that they have plenty of time to take in water and food and get their energy for the next day.
Our horse back safaris in Kenya mean a lot of time camping and spending a lot of time travelling so you must be physically fit and ready to endure the hot weather, the tents you will be resting in all have beds, tables and even a safari bathroom, we also set up a seperate tent during the evening that we all eat in and discuss the days safari and if you have a digital camera then you can show others some of the shots you have taken, we always take a cook and a waiter with us as well.
A typical riding session means about four or six hours in the saddle each day, but if this is too much for you we can always adjust to suit your ability.
