Chyulu
Hills – Kenya
Richard
Bonham started riding safaris from his Ol Donyo Wuas Lodge back
in 2003 and the operation has gone from strength to strength –
the horses are housed in a wooden fortress of a stable yard, new
horses have arrived from South Africa and all this is now in the
hands of the highly professional duo Patrick Stanton & Nicola
Young who lead all the rides.
Ride
Kenya is perfect for families – we love it – in amongst
the horses, are some good fun ponies, the horizon swimming pool
was a big hit and the nightdrives – a fantastic adventure,
not to mention the magic of coming face to face with our first giraffe
and experiencing that golden thread between rider and wildlife.
Patrick & Nicola are making horse history in Kenya – in 2008,with some of our guest on a repeat safari, they led the first riding safari ever into Amboseli National Park and just last year they brought the first Percheron horse in the country.
