Welcome
to Malawi
It
is true that Malawi does not have the numbers of game as it’s
neighbours – what you don’t get in Malawi are the large
herds of plains game and consistent and guaranteed viewing of predators.
However, the game areas it has are superb – the dry season
concentrations of eland on the Nyika Plateau can number over 300,
the birding & elephant viewing from the boats on the Shire River
is quite exceptional, also there is excellent leopard & hyena
viewing on the Nyika & lion are often seen in Liwonde.
A new
development is the link by private charter with western Tanzania
–
Greystoke Mahale or Chada Katavi Camps combined with Malawi is an
incredible itinerary.
