NamibRand Reserve –
Namibia
The NamibRand
Nature Reserve is the largest private nature reserve in Southern
Africa. It is a world of immense solitude, wind-sculpted orange
dunes and jagged mountains. In this dry place, an intriguing array
of desert-adapted animals and plants are nourished by condensation
from the sea mists off the distant Atlantic Ocean.
Stephan Brueckner
owns and operates Wolwedans Dune Camp located on the edge of an
80-foot dune in the heart of the Reserve, miles from anywhere. The
charm of this camp lies in its tranquil and intimate atmosphere,
capturing the ambience of the desert & the romance of a bygone
era.
