Private Guided Safaris

A private guided safari is usually considered the very best safari holiday, led throughout by an expert guide and is exclusive to a private party; sometimes a couple but more usually a group of friends or family or extended family including grandparents.

What is a private guided safari?

A private guided safari is usually considered the very best safari holiday, led throughout by an expert guide and is exclusive to a private party; sometimes a couple but more usually a group of friends or family or extended family including grandparents.

The private guided safari is mobile in concept, staying in a combination of intimate camps & lodges or using your guide’s own mobile luxury tented camp which is exclusive to your party & supported by a full team of camp staff.

The usual length of a private guided safari is 7-14 days. The guides have no boundaries – and lead guests on repeat safaris all over Africa.

What are the advantages of a private guided safari?

  • The continuity of expert guiding gives you a greater depth of understanding

  • More exclusive than a regular safari; it is a personalised journey

  • Using a guide’s mobile camp you can access remote areas of a wildlife region

  • Flexibility of having your own guide and vehicles for gameviewing

  • There are often out of the ordinary activities which are not part of a regular safari

  • No timetables; you decide with your guide how you would like to spend your day

  • The private guide ensures that your entire safari is informative, fun and eventful

  • Perfectly suited to a family safari with no age restrictions
