The name is synonymous with the world’s most beautiful islands, each one a gemstone set in the perfect azure of the Indian Ocean. These islands possess unrivalled beauty living up to the country’s slogan – ‘Seychelles…as pure as it gets’. Racially harmonious, politically stable and with an absence of crime and poverty, Seychelles is an increasingly popular destination.

Seychelles is easily accessible by air with Air Seychelles, the National Carrier, flying directly from Johannesburg, Nairobi, London, Paris and Rome. We flew out of London on Air Seychelles – they were excellent. Domestic scheduled flights hop between the international airport at Mahe and the outlying islands.

We have selected our two favourite lodges – there are many others to choose from. A week in the Seychelles combines well with a week on safari in East Africa, particularly at the time of the wildebeest migration.
