A water safari adds much to an African safari holiday and a bespoke itinerary, providing excellent gameviewing opportunities with the peace and relaxation of travelling slowly by boat or canoe from a camp/lodge through waterways and rivers
Private guided water safaris
Jacques Conradie leads unique private guided water safari, using customised safari boats across the Okavango Delta, staying in a mobile tented camp which moves ahead every few days as you make steady progress across the network of waterways. Scheduled departures are for 4 nights; exclusive trips can be longer. The minimum number of guests is 2, maximum 12.
Camp/lodge water safaris
Many camps and lodges across Africa have water safaris as an activity – canoeing, boating, sundowner cruises, houseboats, fishing. In Northern Mozambique, Ibo Island Lodge operate a unique island hopping dhow safari which is idyllic.
It is unbelievably refreshing that although 30 years may have passed, nothing has changed and we are delighted to be able to introduce some bold new mobile safaris from our private guides in Botswana. Each safari can be 3/4 nights and so happily several safaris can be included on one magic itinerary.
It's good news for Kenya, the spiritual home of safaris. Over 19 million voted in the August election and, although a re-vote will take place shortly, the mood is positive. The first vote showed that there has been a shift away from the politics of the opposition party.
