Victoria Falls– Zambia
When Tongabezi was opened, it was the first stylish, intimate luxury
lodge to reflect the spirit of Africa where nature dominates the
architecture. Rooms such as Tree House & Bird House, built from
local materials & decorated with handcrafted furniture, are
open to the river with private views across the Zambezi. 20 years on, and Tongabezi is still one of the best small lodges in Zambia, just last year winning ‘Zambia’s Leading Safari Lodge’ at the World Travel Awards. Tongabezi remains small and exclusive and is still privately owned & operated.
Tongabezi is just upriver from the mile-wide curtain of
falling water, the famous Victoria Falls. Exclusive and romantic,
Tongabezi is the ideal spot from which to begin or end a safari
in southern Africa.
There is the option to stay at the smaller Sindabezi Island Camp
for more of a bush experience.
