A water safari adds much to an African safari holiday and a bespoke itinerary, providing excellent gameviewing opportunities with the peace and relaxation of travelling slowly by boat or canoe from a camp/lodge through waterways and rivers

Camp/lodge water safaris
Many camps and lodges across Africa have water safaris as an activity – canoeing, boating, sundowner cruises, houseboats, fishing. In Northern Mozambique, Ibo Island Lodge operate a unique island hopping dhow safari which is idyllic.
There was a time when there were distinct safari seasons across Africa. But things have changed over the years and visiting outside the traditional seasons is now not only possible, but often desirable.
