Will I be staying in a tent?

Discussing which style of safari holiday accommodation suits you best is one of the most important aspects of your itinerary design. Accommodation options range from traditional mobile camps, bush camps, classic luxury tented camps, chic camps, shabby chic camps, tented luxury lodges, sophisticated lodges to private safari houses.

Is the bathroom next to my tent?

Yes, all our recommendations have ensuite bathrooms with showers, sometimes indoor and outdoor showers, as well as flush toilets (unless indicated otherwise).

What time do I have to get up?

Early, when the wildlife is at its most active. Then you rest up during the heat of the day and go out game viewing again in the afternoon.

What will I see?

Lots of wildlife: all the safari camps/lodges are chosen for their location in unspoilt areas of great game viewing and also for their outlook – often you can see as much wildlife sitting quietly on your veranda as you can out on a gamedrive.

Can we do a walking safari?

Most camps/lodges offer guests other activities in addition to gamedrives – a gentle walking safari for a few hours in the morning, or canoeing, boating, fishing, horse riding even ballooning.

What is the food like?

Enjoy the high standard of international cuisine in our selection of camps and lodges across Africa. Breakfasts are cooked and continental, lunches buffet style, irresistible teas, sundowners with canapés, ending the day with a 3 course dinner with waiter service and South African wines.

How do I get from one camp to another?

By 4×4 safari vehicle or light aircraft. Many camps/lodges are located in remote areas and only accessible by light aircraft landing at bush airstrips.  All of these arrangements are part of your tailor-made safari.
