David Foot has 30 years of experience guiding private safaris. David and Robyn, both born and raised in Africa, have lived and worked in some of Africa’s greatest wildlife areas – the Kafue and South Luangwa of Zambia, the Matusadona and Mana Pools of Zimbabwe and then for 15 years on the Nyika Plateau of Malawi. Their journey through Africa has led them to settle in Botswana which is now home with their two children.
Itineraries for tailor-made safaris with David are exciting with incredibly varied combinations of landscapes, wildlife and safari experiences.
The contrast of scenery couldn’t be greater – from the lush watery wilderness of the Okavango Delta to the huge open spaces of the Kalahari and the Makgadikadi salt pans. The Selinda Reserve is another favourite area for David for great gameviewing and solitude.
Your 10-12 day safari led throughout by David can include any or all of the following – a 4×4 safari, a canoe trail along the Selinda Spillway, a boat safari adventure deep into the Okavango Delta with a mobile camp, a walking safari through iconic wildlife reserves, and horse-riding with David in the Kalahari.
Family safaris are a specialisation. David and Robyn have always believed that life in the African bush is a family affair and their two teenage children have grown up in some wild beautiful areas of southern Africa. With their love and knowledge of nature they provide wonderful companionship to the children who go on safari with David and Robyn.
Birdwatching is a passion for David, so don’t forget your binoculars.
