in Zambia and Botswana

The Brief

A family of five from the UK had been on safari in Kenya with Bushbuck before and this time they had thought about combining Botswana and Namibia in a two-week safari. Their priority, however, was for a relaxed family trip with a variety of activities on offer so there would be plenty for the adult children to do.

Our Advice

We discussed exactly how the family wanted the safari to feel and, in the end, advised them that the distances in Namibia would be too great to fit into a week without it feeling like they were spending a lot of time travelling, which they wanted to avoid. Instead we suggested that combining Zambia with Botswana would provide an itinerary which gave them everything they had asked for in their brief.

The Safari

The secret of a really good safari is understanding how to interpret the client’s dream and make it a reality. We put together an itinerary which combined three wonderful private guided safaris across Zambia and Botswana. Private guided safaris was by far the best option here because they tend to be more activity based than camp or lodge safaris and the range of activities on this safari included game viewing by day and night, boating, canoeing, fishing, horse riding, walking and quad biking. The accommodation ranged from private tented camps exclusive to the family with lodge accommodation and a swimming pool for the last few days.

The family has decided to save Namibia for their next trip.
